APPLICATIONS OF SHAPED ALUMINUM
Shaped aluminum is a by-product often used for structural purposes. Three types of shaped aluminum can be distinguished depending on the intended use: construction, architectural and industrial.
Shaped aluminum for construction: these products offer high bending and torsional stiffness despite their low net weight. Solar panel frame, structure for building platforms.
Shaped aluminum for architecture: For these applications, the surface finish is very important. Architectural shaped aluminum is used for windows frame, doors and curtain walls..
Industrial purposes: In industry, shaped aluminum is used for a number of purposes that are not so strict in terms of its hardness or surface quality, but focus more on a combination of these two criteria together with other properties of the material, such as productivity. Provide multiple usage purposes in industry according to each product. Some examples might be: cable channel systems, radiators, air conditioners, cabinets and fixtures, etc.

ADAMAS'S SHAPED ALUMINUM TECHNOLOGY
HEATING TREATMENT:
Like most other metals, aluminum needs to be heat treated to obtain the desired mechanical properties. For aluminum, as well as nickel or titanium, hardening occurs due to the aging process. For this reason, it is important to define heat treatment according to the desired application. The three more common heat treatments applied to aluminum profiles are:
T4: solutionized and natural aging to a basically stable state.
T5: cooled by a high-temperature molding process, and then subjected to artificial aging. This is the most common heat treatment process for aluminum used in doors and windows.
T6: solutionized with water (less than 40ºC) and artificially aged.

SURFACE TREATMENT
Following are the most common surface treatments of ADAMAS Aluminum to satisfy any construction needs from our customers:

Polishing: is the process of creating a smooth and shiny surface by rubbing or using a chemical action.

Anodized: As a typical aluminum coating, this method involves increasing the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of aluminum parts, to obtain components with greater strength and durability.

Powder coating: capable of producing thicker coating than ordinary liquid coating without melting.

ADAMAS Aluminum also practices other coating methods such as electrophoresis or PVDF paint.
